So let's start the ball rolling on this beauty blog..
First of all, I'd like to review some makeup products that I already own and i'm afraid that I'm not accepting requests for reviews of products at the moment. Sorry about that, that may change in the unforeseeable future but it's just not a good option for me right now.
That said, I'll get on with the review.
The product i'm reviewing today is a product by Smashbox. You can expect to read more reviews from me about Smashbox products because I have a lot of them. When I lived in the UK, it was hard to get them because they aren't sold there except on QVC and on this great website called Just Beauty Direct (JBD). However, they have now stopped international shipping which is a great disappointment. They sell their Smashbox stuff cheaply though, which is good.
Today the product is the Smashbox Soft lights quad in AGLOW. I think I actually got this as a freebie from JBD (mentioned above) full size. I got this a while ago, but you can still buy it, link for JBD below. It's a highlighter/blush for the face. It has four sections, as you might imagine, being a 'quad'! The quarters are orange, brown, pink and yellow illuminating, highlighting powder. It is quite pigmented and gives a nice glow when applied to the face as the name suggests. I use it as a finish after i've applied all other makeup. It can be used as a light blush as well, but if you want a completly noticeable finish I would suggest using a bush beforehand and then applying this product after using the same blush brush. The effect is better that way.
I would give this product about a 6/10, not more because it is quite light powder and doesn't show up that well, and the colours aren't that great. I like the orange, and the yellow but the other two aren't fantastic but you do get a matt finish. However, I wouldn't purchase this product, i'm glad I got it free. Having said that, I find it better than the Fusion Soft lights in Sunset.
